No. 1! LVTC Team of the First World Vocational Students Skills Competition Won the VR Competition Championship

From News Center (Text by Jiang Wensheng, School of Electronic Information Engineering, Photo by Qin Baozhen, Li Chuang and Li Fei) On August 10, 2022, the LVTC VR team participated in the VR design and production competition of the National Vocational Students Skills Competition (World Vocational Students Skills Competition) on behalf of Guangxi. The competition was surrounded by a tense atmosphere. LVTC competitors were busy but in an orderly manner, grasped the pace of the competition, and successfully completed the competition tasks according to the established policies. On the evening of August 11, the results of the competition were announced, and LVTC team won the championship among 18 teams in China! This is the best result required by teams from Guangxi Province in the VR design and production competition of the National Vocational Students Skills Competition.

This year, the World Vocational Students Skills Competition was added to the National Vocational Students Skills Competition for the first time. The LVTC VR team won the qualification for the World Vocational Students Skills Competition due to its excellent performance in the national competition last year. The 2022 National Vocational Students Skills Competition International Competition and the First World Vocational Students Skills Competition include 5 competition units, namely equipment manufacturing, transportation, energy power and materials, electronics and information technology, and finance and trade, and 16 higher vocational competitions. In order to promote the integration and connection of vocational education, exchanges and cooperation of universities, and the closer friendship of teachers and students between China and foreign countries, the teams participating in the competition adopt the team formation mode of "hand in hand" of Chinese and foreign members, which is specifically divided into Chinese and foreign united teams and mixed teams. Among them, the VR design and production competition adopts the "0.5+0.5" mixed team formation mode, in which two Chinese contestants and two foreign contestants are mixed into one team, and all contestants are students. Chinese contestants must be full-time registered students of higher vocational colleges (including vocational undergraduates), regardless of their gender and age. Foreign contestants (including overseas students studying in China) must be registered students of relevant Majors in vocational colleges. Overseas students from domestic undergraduate colleges are encouraged to participate in the competition. Competitions set awards including one gold medal, one silver medal, one bronze medal and several winning prizes, with certificates and prizes issued respectively.

The LVTC team consists of two LVTC students and two overseas students. Team members are Chen Chao (a major of VR Application Technology admitted in 2020), Zheng Guitian (a major of Software Technology admitted in 2019), Ye Naya (an undergraduate major of International Trade of Guangxi University of Science and Technology, Indonesian), and An Chenli (an undergraduate major of International Interior Art Design of Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College (LVTC), Indonesian). The instructors are Qin Baozhen and Li Chuang from School of Electronic Information Engineering of LVTC.
