LVTC Held a Signing Ceremony for cooperation with Polytechnic Negeri

From News Center (Text by Gan Yu from Office of International Exchange; Photo by Li Zhuo from the Publicity Department of the CPC LVTC Committee) To strengthen cooperation and exchanges, with the support of Yaya Sutarya, Education Counselor of the Embassy of Indonesia in China, LVTC overcame the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and reached an intention of cooperative education with Polytechnic Negeri Batam in Indonesia. On July 19, the online cooperation signing ceremony was held. Gan Jinming, President of LVTC, Wei Lin, Vice President of LVTC, Uuf Brajawidagda, Director of Polytechnic Negeri Batam in Indonesia, and heads of relevant departments of both sides attended the signing ceremony.

Founded in 1999 in Karimun Free Trade Zone, Batam, Indonesia, Batam State Polytechnic has Business Management Department, Electrical Engineering Department, Informatics Engineering Department, and Mechanical Engineering Department. It is a vocational and technical university with various qualifications such as junior college, undergraduate, and postgraduate.

Polytechnic Negeri Batam is the first institution that LVTC cooperates with in Indonesia. This cooperation will adopt a 2+1 model. Students will complete two years of professional studies and Chinese learning in Indonesia, and study at LVTC for one last year. The joint training adopts a modern apprenticeship talent training mode of working and study alternation. Indonesian students studying at LVTC will get the opportunity to practice in leading enterprises in Liuzhou. According to the agreement between the two universities, the cooperation will focus on mechanical and informatics majors this year, which will be further expanded to logistics, tourism, trade and other majors in the future. Gan Jinming and Uuf Brajawidagda both said that signing the agreement is the beginning of cooperation between the two sides, and the two sides will take this opportunity to make every effort to jointly cultivate local skilled talents suitable for the development of Indonesian enterprises and promote friendly exchanges between China and Indonesia.

The signing of the cooperation agreement with Polytechnic Negeri Batam marks the successful advanced completion of the goal of "establishing 12 International Craftsman Colleges in different modes" in the construction of LVTC's "Double High-levels Plan". In the future, LVTC will organize relevant Secondary Schools to further implement the details of cooperation and carry out related work solidly.
