LVTC Unveiled Three Programs in the Opening Ceremony of Vocational Education Activity Week & the 5th LVTC Vocational Education Exhibition 2018

News from News Network (Written by Shi Yudan from Party Propaganda Department, photography by Zhu Jingmin from Party Propaganda Department and Huang Kuiqiang and Liang Zhenfang from Students News Agency) On May 13, 2018, Liuzhou Vocational Education Activity Week & the 5^th LVTC Vocational Education Exhibition 2018, which is sponsored by Liuzhou Education Bureau, hosted by Liuzhou Radio and Television Station and co-hosted by members of Liuzhou Vocational College Admissions Union officially began in the busy north side of Wuxing Street, Liuzhou City , and nine vocational colleges participated in the exhibition.

The event was divided into two exhibition areas, namely “Liuzhou vocational education: vocational education development and great achievements” and “Liuzhou vocational colleges: cultivate talents to create a better future.” The event was organized in the ways of multidimensional display, interaction experience plus Internet to enable visitors to experience and know what vocational education is.

Yao Yiyi, the Director of Liuzhou Education Bureau, said that the event was to put in place the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and to publicize what Liuzhou vocational education has achieved since the campaign to tackle the difficulties in vocational education was initiated. He said that we must advance the spirit that labor, skills, and creation deserve appreciation and create an environment where the public cares about and supports the development of vocational education. The event was an active practice that enables the general public to learn and know what vocational education is. The sponsor will work to build Liuzhou into a national vocational education demonstration city that serves Liuzhou, represent Guangxi, has influence in China and the ASEAN countries.

At the exhibition, Yang Xu, the deputy secretary of LVTC Party Committee, accepted the interview by Liuzhou media and introduced LVTC's academic achievements, featured programs, international school running and school-enterprise cooperation, and introduced the three programs, i.e. handmade calico, 3D Printing, and detection of agricultural products that were displayed by LVTC.

Many people gathered at the exhibition to inquire and learn about LVTC, and some people even scanned the QR code to learn more about the school. “It is great to scan the QR code to know the school and experience the event”; “I like things with technological features.” A girl student at the 3D printing exhibition zone said happily. Ms. Liu, who just finished doing grocery shopping, walked by and had her onions and corns tested, she got happy when she learned that those vegetables contained no pesticide residue, saying: “The test is so great as it enables us to know what is healthy food.”

As everything was well organized and went as planned, the LVTC booth attracted a lot of people who wanted to know about vocational education.

For the event, the sponsor also arranged other vocational education exhibitions, exchange and service activities such as campus opening, experience and community serve, etc. and also arranged special experiencing activities regard integrated general high school and vocational education, vocational education and teaching observation and learning, vocational skills and education achievement display activities to help students to shape a right outlook on occupation and employment to choose the best way to grow and develop.

LVTC will take the event as an opportunity to remain committed to cultivating students as the basic task, leading the vocational education reform, innovation and development in Liuzhou through vocation education internationalization, deepening the school-enterprise integration so as to build a management model and culture based on which technical and skilled personnel can develop, and students at LVTC can embrace a better future.
