Good News: Contestants from LVTC won the First Prize in All the Four Contests of “Guangxi Vocational Students Skills Contest 2018”, Being Qualified for the National Competition

News from News Network (written by Ye Qing from College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; photographed by Long Cairong, Wang Fuchun and He Xiaohua from College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering) On March 25, 2018, the Guangxi Vocational Students Skills Contest 2018 sponsored by the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region had some of its contests conducted in Guantang Campus of LVTC. 35 contest teams (92 contestants) from 15 higher vocational colleges of the autonomous region participated in the contest in Guantang and competed bitterly in four contests undertaken by LVTC - “Digital Design and Manufacturing of Industrial Products”, “Mechatronics”, “Adjustment, Maintenance and Upgrade of Numerical Control Machine Tool” and “Industrial Robot Technology Application”.

After tough competition, the teams from LVTC, on strength of their solid professional knowledge and skills as well as best performance ever, won the first place of the four contests and obtained the qualification for the national competition


Guangxi Vocational Students Skills Contest is regarded as an important implementation of the Education Department to further deepen the educational reform in vocational colleges, strengthen the training of skilled talents as well as continuously improve the quality of teaching in vocational colleges. Through the contest, the outcomes of the education and teaching reform of all colleges were further investigated, and the aim of "contests to promote learning, teaching and reform" can be achieved.
