The 1st LiuGong-LVTC High-level Forum & Signing Ceremony of Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement Held in Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College

President Shi stated the examples that the college speeds up the internationalization of running the college and provides powerful talent support for enterprises by citing data, and reviewed the process that the college develops amicable cooperation with Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as LiuGong) to mutually cultivate a number of high-quality technical skilled talents with international vision. The two sides have been working together in a variety of ways, with increasing scope, strength and level of cooperation. The signing of high-level forum and strategic cooperation framework agreement means that the two sides have achieved a new breakthrough in the establishment of comprehensive domestic and foreign strategic cooperation, which is a qualitative leap.

President Shi said that in the next step, the two sides will establish normalized mechanism for college-enterprise high-level forum, mutually serve the “Belt and Road” initiative, and accelerate the overseas sub-center of global customer experience center of LiuGong-LVTC, and the construction of project of Saudi Arabia Qahtani Vocational School. The college will also establish a number of overseas training schools of LiuGong-LVTC in India, Poland, Brazil, Morocco and so on together with LiuGong and the third party of the host countries together and with the aid of LiuGong, to explore practical samples and lessons learned from “go out” of vocational education and enterprises, and mutually realize the international strategic goal.

Liao Jihua, the Assistant President of LiuGong, reported the process of cooperation between the both sides, preliminary work progress and the follow-up working ideas.

Liao Jihua mentioned that the cooperation plan of the next step lies in cooperation in four aspects of talent cultivation, social services, scientific research and international cooperation, as well as comprehensive college-enterprise cooperation between the both sides to realize the complementary advantages, resource sharing and depth fusion, and mutually build a win-win and sustainable strategic cooperative partnership which serves LiuGong, bases upon China and creates a social and globally oriented future. In the field of talent training and infusion, the both sides will serve the global strategy of LiuGong, and assist the development of Liuzhou construction machinery industry and the improvement of talent cultivation ability of Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College. Moreover, the sides will co-establish the global talent training base, take advantage of advanced management experience in college running of Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College and perfect overseas development platform of LiuGong, build constant overseas talent teams for LiuGong, and improve the international competitiveness of LiuGong. Meanwhile, the both sides will also realize internationalization of profession construction of Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College and improve international influence of college running of Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College.

Liao Jihua said that through development of serving global business of LiuGong, the both sides will develop cooperation in construction of global training system, so as to form a community of interests, and realize the goal of internationalization of vocational education and brand of LiuGong. Meanwhile, the both sides will strengthen the mechanism construction, promote innovation of business mode, strengthen cooperation between the both sides, and actively build a multi-level communication and cooperation mechanism. The sides will deepen the integration of interests, promote mutual trust, reach new consensus on cooperation, and jointly provide support for the implementation of practical cooperation and key cooperation projects, so as to form a regular meeting and communication mechanism between the senior executives of the sides.

Later, the President Shi signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Luo Guobing, the Vice President of LiuGong.

Zeng Guang’an, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of LiuGong made full affirmation on the talent that the college has trained meeting the demands of the market and enterprises, and believed that the college is willing to invest heavily in teaching hardware and software. At present when the talent has become the first element of the manufacturing industry, if the enterprise intends to be bigger and stronger, it shall own a large number of high skill talents with international vision, international research and development ability and high quality of “craftsmanship”. In the next step, the both sides should work on the maintenance of the whole machine of the engineering machinery, and further improve the soft power of teaching materials, teaching plan, teaching research and teachers and so on. For the training of overseas talents, first of all, it lies in training of trainers; no matter in the Germany's dual system or in the British modern apprentice system, training “craftsman of great power” with high quality and meeting the market demand is the key to success.

Zhu Weicai, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the College expressed gratitude to the senior executives of LiuGong for the highlight on development with the college. LiuGong is a brand in Liuzhou, as well as a famous enterprise which is becoming better and better in equipment manufacturing industry. The development of LiuGong is widely recognized, and we are proud of LiuGong. The high-level forum is a collaborative effort to improve soft power based on the past and the higher platform. The both sides will take the forum as an opportunity to further implement the statement of General Secretary Xi on “perfecting vocational education and training system, deepening the integration of production and education, and college-enterprise cooperation”. During the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Li Keqiang, the Premier met with three senior executives, one of whom was from LiuGong, which reflects the position of LiuGong in the industry.

Zhu also introduced the achievements of the college in recent years. The college is one of the two national demonstration high vocational colleges in Guangxi and among 100 colleges in the country. The college ranks the 19th nationally and the 1st in Guangxi in the top influence of national demonstration high vocational colleges, and ranks the 27th nationally and the 1st in Guangxi in top scientific research competitiveness. Therefore, the signing framework agreement is a cooperation between giants. In the next step, the both sides will try to jointly explore more and newer mode of production-education integration, so as to comprehensively improve soft power. With achievements, modes and cases of the cooperation, the both sides will build an outstanding college-enterprise cooperation brand model.

The senior executives of the both sides also had a heated discussion about a series of topics widely concerned, such as improvement of soft power of vocational education, confirmation of training scope, training of on-the-job employees, how the college to design training scheme aiming at the problems that the enterprise need to solve, how to make bold exploration and attempt on training mode, manufacturing intelligence, and overseas post-market and so on.
